Institute Network
Building Partnerships: A network of organisations and individuals is the core of the Institute's strategy to develop knowledge and understanding in governance and government. The Institute has renewed its existing partnerships and is establishing new relationships with national organisations in governance.
Researchers Members and Adjuncts
The ANZSOG Institute for Governance unifies over 50 researchers across the Faculties of Business & Governmant and Law. Each researcher is associated primarily with a principle research theme within the Institute, but several researchers work across several themes. These University staff are supplemented by specialist practitioners as University adjuncts, supporting the Institute's research and education programs.
Public Members
The Institute is open to individual and corporate public members representing the practice of governance and government integrated with research in the Institute's network. The Institute aims not only to deliver real value to its public membership but also to involve members as practitioners in its network dialogue to develop research and change that delivers real public value.
Partners
The Institute not only enhances the development of governance research and understanding through its networks of members and adjuncts, but also in professional associations and partnerships with a number of Australian and international organisations.
Naturally the primary partnership is with the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG), including developing the Institute as the host for Canberra-based ANZSOG alumni and existing EMPA students.
A closely associated partnership is with the newly formed Australian Centre of Excellence for Local Government (ACELG) in which both ANZSOG and the University of Canberra are consortium members.
Other partnerships currently include:
- Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA)
- Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA)
- Australian Risk Policy Institute (ARPI)
- Chartered Secretaries Australia (CSA)
- Minter Ellison Lawyers
- ACT Government “Transforming our Services” – an Action-based Research Program
These pages will be used to provide information on the Institute's activities with each of these partners and the governance lessons being learned.
